Following his red card against Lille last Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has been suspended for two matches.
The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has announced that the Brazilian international will miss PSG’s matches.
However, he will miss PSG match against Strasbourg this weekend and Saint-Etienne on April 18.
During PSG’s 1-0 loss at home, Neymar was sent off for a scuffle with Lille defender Tiago Djalo.
In other words, Tiago Djalo was also dismissed.
Neymar and Djalo were given three-match bans, but with one of those games suspended.
PSG’s defeat against Lille means Mauricio Pochettino’s men are now three points behind Christophe Galtier’s side on the Ligue 1 table.
Meanwhile, Neymar was impressive for PSG in their Champions League quarter-final first leg. They had 3-2 victory against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
The former Barcelona star gave assists to Kylian Mbappe and Marquinhos during the encounter against Bayern.
