Didi Hamann, a Liverpool legend, has warned Liverpool against signing France’s Super Star, Kylian Mbappe.
Hamann has drawn the attention of the Reds against the signing of Paris Saint-Germain’s star, regarding the transfer rumor of the France captain to Anfield.
The Reds legend’s insisting that the France captain’s wages at Anfield could upset the team, despite the fact that his current contract with PSG will expire at the end of the season.
Liverpool has entered the race for the forward, although Real Madrid has also been mentioned.
“To Liverpool, Mbappe? Given that his current contract expires in the summer, it is possible that he will sign a new one immediately. These reports originate from France.
“He is not affordable for many clubs. When you consider the caliber of players Real Madrid can draw in, such as [Zinedine] Zidane or both Ronaldos, they are by far the most obvious club, Hamann said to King Casino Bonus (via DAZN).
“There’s always a chance of upsetting the dynamics within the team, and the issue would be the wage structure, as he’d come in and earn twice as much as the rest of the squad,” he said.
“That being said, it would be fantastic to have him at Liverpool, as he is currently probably the best player in the world.”
Mbappe nearly signed a new contract to stay with the French Ligue 1 winners, PSG, after considering a move to Real Madrid in the past.
The France captain is free to sign a pre-agreement with foreign clubs this January.
