Timo Werner, the ex-Chelsea forward, is set to join his former club rivals in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old German player is reported to be leaving RB Leipzig for EPL team Tottenham on a loan deal until the season ends.
Manchester United have made an offer for the RB Leipzig striker in the January window transfers.
The striker is now heading back to London, while Spurs are likely to cover the player’s full salary until the end of the current campaign.
Due to his participation in the Asia Cup, club captain Heung-Min Son will be out of the lineup for at least a month for Ange Postecoglou’s team, and there are concerns that Alejo Veliz may have sustained a serious knee injury.
This season, Werner has made just eight appearances for Leipzig in the Bundesliga and has two goals. His present deal expires in the summer of 2026.
