The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) will pay Manchester City $5 million for winning the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup ahead of Fluminense on Friday.
FIFA will also pay Fluminense $4 million for losing the Club World Cup final to Man City and Al Ahly $2.5 million for winning the third-place final (Bronze medal), according to AS.
Man City defeated Fluminense 4-0 on Friday night at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to win their first FIFA Club World Cup.
Julián Álvarez and Phil Foden scored the goals for Pep Guardiola’s side against Fluminense.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly of Egypt had defeated Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds 4-2 in the third-place final tie earlier on Friday.
The African club will receive $2.5 million for beating Urawa Red Diamonds.
